Located in the village resort of Bernex, south of Lake Geneva, this amazing Savoyard wooden chalet offers privacy, stunning views, and a broad range of outdoor activities. It also offers great comfort and value for the money.

Notre Reve is a family friendly, self catering chalet that is fully equipped for groups of all sizes, including families with young children. The traditional wooden chalet is located amongst the stunning natural beauty of the surrounding mountains and lakes, making it an ideal location for summer and winter pursuits for both young and old alike.

A gorgeous garden surrounds the house, so there is plenty of room to kick a football, play chase or just relax. We also have table tennis in the basement which can provide hours of family entertainment, not to mention competition!

In the summer Bernex offers plenty of activities such as tennis, golf, horse riding, mountain biking, sailing, swimming, fishing and rafting. For the adventurous, paragliding, white-water rafting and canyoning at Lake de la Beunaz are also popular past times. And the famous Dent d’Oche mountain is a challenge for mountain climbers at at an impressive 2222 metres.

If the local activities are not enough, Lake Geneva and Evian are 15 minutes away, and have many attractions such as water sports, spa & thermal baths, beaches and bars. There is also a local distillery in Bernex which you can visit and sample local products. Alternatively, just sit back, relax and enjoy the views and atmosphere of this naturally beautiful area.

In the Winter Bernex offers its own ski area of just over 50 km, with a variety of runs to suit all levels and also breathtaking views of Lake Geneva and Mont Blanc. Bernex boasts 34 snow cannons with its own water reservoir. In addition, the Ecole du Ski de France (ESF) is based at the resort and so you can book ski classes to suit your needs.

Winter hiking and cross country skiing are further activities that the Bernex valley and Plateau du Gavot has to offer, together with sleigh rides and sledding.

How to Get There: Bernex is situated in the north mountains of the Haute Savoie area of the Alps – known as the Chablais Region. It is just over an hour from Geneva Airport, or a 10 hour drive from UK, or take the train to Evian and hire a car/taxi and drive to Bernex in under 15 minutes.

The property known as “Notre Rêve”, Bernex (“the Property”) is offered for holiday rental subject to confirmation by Mr & Mrs C Stanmore (“the Owners”) to the rentee (“the Client”). 2. To reserve Notre Rêve, the Client should send a payment of the initial non-refundable deposit (25% of the total rent due). Following receipt of the booking form and deposit, the Owners will send a confirmation statement and invoice. This is the formal acceptance of the booking 3. The balance of the rent together with the security deposit (see clause 4) is payable not less than eight weeks before the start of the rental period. If payment is not received by the due date, the Owners reserve the right to give notice in writing that the reservation is cancelled. The Client will remain liable to pay the balance of the rent unless the Owners are able to re-let the Property. In this event, clause 5 of these booking conditions will apply. Reservations which are made within eight weeks of the start of the rental period require full payment at the time of booking. 4. A security deposit of £150.00 for every week or part week of the rental period is required in case of, for example, damage to the Property or its contents. However, the sum reserved by this clause shall not limit the Client’s liability to the Owners. The Owners will account to the Client for the security deposit and refund the balance due within two weeks after the end of the rental period. 5. Subject to clauses 2 and 3 above, in the event of a cancellation, refunds of amounts paid will be made if the Owners are able to re-let “Notre Rêve”, and any expenses or losses incurred in so doing will be deducted from the refundable amount. The Client is strongly advised to arrange a comprehensive travel insurance policy (including cancellation cover) and to have full cover for the party’s belongings, public liability etc., since these are not covered by the Owners’ insurance. 6. The rental period shall commence at 4.00pm on the first day and finish at 10.00am on the last day. The Owners shall not be obliged to offer the accommodation before the time stated and the Client shall not be entitled to remain in occupation after the time stated. 7. The maximum number to reside in “Notre Rêve” must not exceed 11 unless the Owners have given written permission. 8. The Client agrees to be a considerate tenant and to take good care of the Property and to leave it in a clean and tidy condition at the end of the rental period. The Owners reserve the right to make a retention from the security deposit to cover additional cleaning costs if the Client leaves the Property in an unacceptable condition. The Client also agrees not to act in any way which would cause disturbance to those resident in neighbouring properties. 9. The Client shall report to the Owners without delay any defects in the Property or breakdown in the equipment, plant, machinery or appliances in the Property and arrangements for repair/replacement will be made as soon as possible. 10. The Owners shall not be liable to the Client: 10a. For any temporary defect or stoppage in the supply of public services to the Property nor in respect of any equipment, plant, machinery or appliance in the Property, or garden. 10b. For any loss, damage or inconvenience caused to or suffered by the Client if the Property shall be destroyed or substantially damaged before the start of the rental period and in any such event, the Owners shall, within seven days of notification to the Client, refund to the Client all sums previously paid in respect of the rental period. 10c. For any loss, damage or injury which is the result of adverse weather conditions, riot, war strikes or other matters beyond the control of the Owners 11. The Owners shall not be held responsible for any accidents in and around the Property 12. Personal belongings are at the Client’s risk. The Owners accept no responsibility for personal injury or loss or damage to Client’s belongings 13. Under no circumstances shall the Owners’ liability to the Client exceed the amount paid to the Owners for the rental period This contract shall be governed by English law in every particular including formation and interpretation, and shall be deemed to have been made in England. Any proceedings arising out of, or in connection with, this contract may be brought in any court of competent jurisdiction in England.
