Doha will present World Travel Awards in Qatar

This year the World Travel Awards will be held at the prestigious Katara Cultural Village in Doha, Qatar. The ceremony is the Grand Final of the World Travel Awards' yearlong search for the best in the travel industry. The ceremony will reveal the world's top travel brands, companies and countries that have come out the strongest this year despite the world economic downturn.

Categories for the world's best in travel will include the 'World's Leading Airline', 'World's Leading Hotel', and 'World's Leading Dive Destination' to name a few. Among the travel companies vying for top awards in travel excellence are the renowned Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Cathay Pacific Airlines, Le Bristol Hotel in Paris, and the W Hotel in Barcelona.

Qatar was chosen as the location of the final ceremony due to its progressive and innovative strides in the tourism industry. The country itself has been recognized as a contender for a number of categories including 'World's Leading Business Destination' and 'World's Leading Sports Destination'.
