Visit Some of Europe’s Finest Medieval Architecture on a Holiday to Estonia
The tiny Baltic country of Estonia contains some of the most alluring medieval architecture in all of Europe. From a holiday apartment in the capital of Tallinn you can roam within the ancient fortified walls to see 14th century cathedrals, towers dating back to the Middle Ages, and ancient stone residences. The old buildings here also support modern urban venues such as unique boutiques, slick art galleries, sophisticated cafes and stylish restaurants. Tartu is another interesting town for its mix of 18th century buildings and youthful university town vibe. For a more rural experience, rent a holiday villa in the countryside and have access to all the natural spectacles that Estonia has to offer. Lahemaa National Park is an enchanting natural parkland that contains scenic coastal trails, lovely bays, bubbling waterfalls and swampy bogs.
