No visa regime for travel between Russia and Turkey
Citizens of the Russian Federation and Turkey will be able to enter, leave and transit the territory of the other country without visas, according to the agreement, which entered into force on April 16, 2011. As long as they provide personal or official passports upon request, Russians and Turks can stay 30 days after entering the territory of the other country. For six months the stay should not be longer than 90 days altogether.
The lack of visa regime between Russia and Turkey will facilitate and cheaper travel packages, which is beneficial for both Turkish and Russian tourism sectors.
