Opened in 1976 and originally designed by Frank Pennink, the course was remodelled and refurbished by Robert Trent Jones Jr some 9 years later. With rolling parkland terrain, cleverly positioned bunkers, ponds and a stream, the Oceânico Pinhal Course offers an enjoyable game to golfers of all levels.
Oceânico Victoria Course
Inaugurated in 2004, the course is the newest in Vilamoura and the most recent project of Arnold Palmer in Portugal. Designed as the longest 18 holes golf course in the country, Oceânico Victoria Course is laid out over flat terrain covering some 90 hectares. It is a par 72 championship layouts with wide fairways, extensive green and water hazards, as well as well positioned bunkers.
It is considered one of the best and most sophisticated golf courses in Europe and deservedly hosted top international tournaments such as the Portugal Masters from 2007 to 2010 and the PGA World Cup in 2005.
