Holiday Rental Web Advises Travellers to Be Cautious if Travelling to Bangkok
Holiday Rental Web urges visitors to Bangkok to be extremely careful after the recent Valentine’s Day bombings. Although three of the perpetrators were apprehended, the governments of the US and the UK are still issuing travel advisories. They warn that the threat of terrorism is very high at the current time.
The first bombs went off in a rental house on Soi 7 off of Sukhumvit Road on the afternoon of February 14th. While two men fled the scene, another set off two more bombs, one of which was thrown at the police who were attempting to apprehend the man. Fortunately only five people were injured, including the man who threw the final bomb. The three men have been arrested, and police are currently searching for a woman who is believed to have fled the country.
Holiday Rental Web believes that although Bangkok is a generally a very safe vacation destination, the recent bombings are a cause for caution. Travelers to Thailand might want to consider booking accommodation in Surat Thani region instead.
